Intercolor’s objectives for 2009 – 2010 are      

 

 


To continue

  • Efforts to reduce to a minimum the discharge to the atmosphere of solvent vapour.
  • The reduction of the company's usage of fuel.
  • The reduction of the company's usage of energy.
  • Reviewing the sourcing of all raw materials to ensure that materials are pu rchased from the most environmentally responsible sources.
  • To re-use containers and packaging, where possible.
  • To investigate and review our suppliers and rate their environmental probity.
  • Weighing and metering ingredients to the highest possible accuracy.
  • To ensure all batches pass final test with the minimum of additions.
  • To re-cycle returned/excess/off-specification product in new batch production.

  • Increased paper consumption by reducing waste, reusing where possible.

To reduce

  • To a minimum, the usage and waste of raw materials.
  • To reduce carbon dioxide levels resulting from our activities.

To limit

  • The volume of solid waste sent to Landfill.

The targets for the targeted objectives are

To reduce

  • Electricity consumption, in relation to production totals, by 1% per annum.
  • Solvent emissions, in relation to production totals, by 1% per annum.
  • Fuel consumption of company cars by 1% per annum, in relation to production.
  • Carbon dioxide resulting from our activities by 1% per annum, in relation to production.

To limit

  • The volume of solid waste sent to landfill at 2005 to 2007 levels in relation to production.
  • The quantity of paper purchased at 2005 to 2007 levels, in relation to production totals.
